    Set up payroll taxes in QuickBooks Online by paying, and filing payroll taxes online with QuickBooks. Read the complete procedure, and follow all, and every single step to start the setup procedure.  

    Sign Up for Online Payroll Account to get E-Services

    First, you need to enroll in e-services, if you have the Intuit Online Payroll Enhanced, and QuickBooks Online Payroll Enhanced. It will take some time to complete the enrollment process. After the complete active process, you will be notified by Intuit/QuickBooks. Then you can proceed to the next step. 

    Set the Type & Time for Payroll

    Now in this step, you need to confirm, which taxes you need to file, and pay for. After the confirmation of the e-mail service, you will be notified by Intuit through some reminders in your inbox for the pay taxes page. 

    But here is one thing, which you should remember for all the time, and i.e  

    Pay for Taxes

    In this step, you need to keep attention to two taxes, one is Federal Taxes, and another one is ‘State’ taxes.

    • Keep the processing time when you are ready to deal with tax. 
    • Go to the upcoming tax payment, from the ‘Due Later’ section. After the complete liability, it will move to the ‘Taxes Due Now’ section.
    • It also allows you to pay taxes due later but before that, you need to confirm bout that, you have not changed any payroll in the liability period. If you did anything like this then, you can pay taxes sue later.
    • On the pay taxes page, you can check the overdue. if you see the payment in red color then it is overdue. In this case, you can pay to IRS by contacting the state.   

    How to Pay Payroll Taxes in Intuit Online Payroll Enhanced

    This is the procedure for Intuit Online Payroll Enhanced to pay payroll:

    • Access Intuit Online Payroll Enhanced with the ID, and password.
    • After that, visit the ‘Taxes & Forms’ tab, and select the ‘Pay Taxes’ option.
    • Create a payment on the tax that, you want to pay.
    • Choose any one of the options, and approve it. 
      • Earliest:- This option is applicable for the next available payment date. 
      • Other:- It access the specific date for future payment.
      • Latest:- It will process the payment to deposit the exact date for the tax payment. 
    • Once the payment process approved, the system will give an e-payment confirmation. 

    How to Pay Payroll Taxes in QuickBooks Online Payroll Enhanced

    If you are a QuickBooks Online Payroll Enhanced user then, go through this procedure:

    • Login to QuickBooks Online Payroll Enhanced.
    • Once you logged into it, you can see the tab of ‘Taxes’.
    • From the ‘Tax’ section, select the ‘Payroll Tax’ option, and then the ‘Pay Taxes’ option.
    • Create a payment for the tax that you want to pay.
    • After that, you will be shown to choose any one of the options;
      • Earliest:- This option is applicable for the next available payment date. 
      • Other:- It access the specific date for future payment.
      • Latest:- It will process the payment to deposit the exact date for the tax payment.
    • Always remember to choose the ‘Earliest’ option then the ‘Approve’ option.
    • Then in the E-payment confirmation window, click the ‘Done’ option.

    How to Pay Payroll Taxes in QuickBooks Online Payroll Plans

    QuickBooks and Intuit have different plans for online payroll like QuickBooks Online Payroll Premier, QuickBooks Online Payroll Core, and QuickBooks Online Payroll Elite. If you are using any one of them then, you need to remember that the payment of taxes totally depends on the selection that you have to pay to intuit. And you need to file the federal, and state payroll taxes for yourself. Check the form filling status, if you are not ensured about this.
