Step 1: Check the System Requirement of QuickBooks Desktop on Windows

Windows 10 Version 1803:
This version is totally compatible with the QuickBooks Desktop 2017-2020.
Windows 10 Version 1709:
The QuickBooks Desktop 2017-2020 is supported in this version.
Windows 10 Version 1507, 1511, 1607, and 1703:
QuickBooks Desktop is sustainable in these versions, but you may face different types of issues in them. Because Microsoft already discontinued its support from these versions.
Step 3: Enable .NET Framework 3.5
In some versions of Windows 10, .Net 3.5 Framework is not enabled by default, and .Net Framework is required to run QuickBooks Desktop smoothly. For a smooth experience on Windows 10, you have to enable .Net Framework 3.5. To do so follow the below steps:
- Press Windows + R to open the run window on your keyboard.
- Type Control Panel
- Select OK
- Select Uninstall a program.
- Select Turn Windows features on or off.
- Make sure .Net Framework 3.5 is enabled(checked), as well as .net Framework 4.5
- If it is not, select it and then select OK
- If it is, Select Cancel.
