Solution 1: Update QuickBooks, When the Network is Off

For Windows 10 User

  • Visit the start menu and then open the Control Panel
  • Head to the community and Sharing center options
  • Choose the change adapter setting
  • Right-click on all of the indexed adapters and then click on Disable
  • you may need to reconnect to the network in case you get the connection lost notification.
  • Create a new windows customer with Administrator rights after which try to install or update QuickBooks again

For windows 7/8 customers:

  • Set up QuickBooks even as logged off the network
    • Visit the start menu and then open the Control Panel
    • Visit the change Adapter Settings
    • Right-click on the appropriate adapters and choose Disable from the drop-down

  • Reinstall QuickBooks by using a new windows user:

    • Give a name to the new person and select Administrator for the position

Solution 2: Remove the Network Drive

  • Go to the ‘Start’ button of your Windows, and click on the ‘Program’ option.
  • Click the ‘Windows Explorer’ option, and select the network drive where, the folder is present.
  • After that, click the ‘OK’ option.
  • Now go to the ‘Tool’ section, and select the map network drive.
  • After that, uncheck the folder to reconnect.
  • Click ‘Ok’, and reinstall the QuickBooks.

Solution 3: Re-Locate the Letter Drive

For Windows New Technology User

  • Open the ‘Administrative Tools’ from the ‘All Program’ list.
  • After that, select the ‘Disk Administrator’ option from the tool.
  • Opposite click on the drive to assign drive letter.
  • And at the end, choose the original drive.

For Windows 2000

  • Open the administrative tools, and double-click on the ”Computer Management, option.
  • After that, right-click the drive that you want to change.
  • Choose the change drive letter, and the path.
  • And at the last, click ‘Ok’.
