    Method 1. An original Transaction Log file and ADR version

    • First, you have to create a new folder on the Desktop and name it QBTest.
    • Now you have to open the company file and find the AutoDataRecovery folder.
    • Now you have to find the.TLG.adr and the .QBW.adr files.
    • Now show file extensions.
    • If you do not get these files then follow the steps given below.
      • First, you have to press the Windows+E button in file explorer.
      • Then you have to click on the organize and select the folder and search option.
      • Now you have to select the Hide extensions for known file types.
      • Now click on Apply and then the Ok button.
    • Now you have to copy and paste it into the QBTest folder. Now rename the file and remove the .adr from its name.
    • Now open the QuickBooks file which is saved in the QBTest folder. Now you have to verify all the QuickBooks transactions.
    • After that check the data integrity of the file.
    • File>>Utilities>>Rebuild Data.
    • If you find the file is damaged then you can put that file in the other location and if the file is good then you can transfer that file into the original location.

    Method 2. An original Transaction Log file with ADR version

    • First, you have to create a new folder on the Desktop and name it QBTest.
    • Where you want to save the company file, open that folder.
    • Find the .tlg file in the company file folder. The name of the folder will be the same as the company file name. Now you have to show the file extension.
    • If you did not find the .tlg file. Then you can follow the steps.
      • First, you have to open the file explorer, and then press the Windows+E button.
      • Now you have to select the organize, then choose the folder and search options.
      • Now select the hide extension for known file types.
      • After that click Apply and then the Ok button.
    • Now copy the .tlg file to the QBTest folder on the Desktop.
    • Now you have to open the ADR folder and then find where the company file is stored.
    • After that, you have to copy the .qbw.adr file. And after that, you have to paste it into the QBTest folder.
    • Then you have to right-click on the .qbw.adr file and change the name.
    • Now you have to remove the .adr from the file name.
    • Now open the company file that is saved in the QBTest folder.
    • Now verify the transaction of your account.
    • Now check the integrity from the recovered file File > Utilities > Verify Data
    • If you find the file is damaged then you can put that file in the other location and if the file is good then you can transfer that file into the original location.
